Why Sapphires?

The birthstone for September is Sapphire. Sapphire is the name for the blue variety of corundum. Red corundum is known as Ruby. This birthstone comes in a variety of rainbow colors!

How are Sapphires made?

Sapphires are a naturally occurring gemstone. They form through shifts in heat and pressure that transpire under the Earth’s surface. They can be found in both metamorphic and igneous rocks.

Great for Everyday Wear

Sapphires are a nice alternative to a diamond. They are the third most durable stone. The only stones harder on the Mohs Scale are Diamonds and Moissanite.
